Convention of Biological Diversity (CBD): The politics of implementation in Germany and Japan

This dissertation project looks into the global-local linkage and investigates how the ideas in the international environmental convention on biological diversity are translated into national policy in the respective countries. Furthermore, it aims to identify the factors that influence this translation process and outputs.
