IDP, Project Studies & Final Theses

Interdisciplinary Project (IDP)

The goal of an Interdisciplinary Project (IDP) is the collaboration of Master students of Computer Science in research and other projects at the Department of Economics & Policy. The projects include a computer science part, but are not pure computer science projects.

A project team usually consists of a group of 1 to 5 students. The length of the IDP is usually 6 months (1 semester) and includes besides the actual project activity the participation in a lecture of the Department of Economics & Policy as well as an interim and final presentation and a project report (max. 25 pages).

For further information please contact the responsible person of the respective chairs and professorships.

Project Studies (TUM-BWL and MBA):

On the basis of the basic economic knowledge imparted, students are confronted with concrete tasks from ongoing research projects within the framework of project studies. Particular emphasis is placed on intensive, performance-oriented cooperation within the project teams. A project team usually consists of a group of 2 to 5 students.

In addition to 3 to 6 months of project work with the respective cooperation partner, a project study in cooperation with the Department of Economics & Policy includes an interim and final presentation as well as a project report of max. 25 pages (see also the Faculty's Information Sheet: "Information Sheet: Project Studies, BA & MA").
