Association

The aim and purpose of the Alumni- und Fördervereins für Economics & Policy an der Technischen Universität München is to promote

  1.   Research,
  2.   Education and
  3.   Scientific exchange in the field of economics

in the field of economics and related disciplines conducted at and by the Department of Economics & Policy at the Technical University of Munich.

Structure of the Association

The structure of the Alumni- und Fördervereins für Economics & Policy an der Technischen Universität München is shown in the diagram below. The most important organs of the association are the annual general meeting and the board of directors, which is elected by the general meeting for a period of two years.

The executive board, which is authorized to represent the association according to § 26 BGB (German Civil Code), consists of the chairman of the executive board and two deputies, who also act as treasurer and secretary. In addition, assessors can be appointed to the board by resolution of the general meeting. The assessors support the board in a comprehensive way to fulfill the purposes of the association, but are not authorized to represent the association in the sense of § 26 BGB.

In addition, upon proposal of the board and after confirmation by the general meeting, natural or legal persons who have rendered outstanding services to the association and/or its purposes in a special way may be appointed honorary members or, as the highest form of appreciation, honorary chairman.

General Meeting

The general meeting takes place once a year. It is convened by the Board of Directors with two weeks' notice in text form, stating the agenda.

Membership application

If you feel connected to the association, the purposes of the association or the Departmen of "Economics & Policy", you are cordially invited to become a member of the Alumni and Support Association for Economics & Policy at TUM. To become a member, you can use the membership application form and send it to the board by email or by post.

Cash auditor

The cash auditor is elected by the general meeting for a period of two years. In addition to the accounting audit, the cash auditor also conducts an audit of the use of funds in accordance with the statutes.

Honorary members

Honorary members are persons who have rendered outstanding services to the Association or the purpose of the Association.

The honorary chairman of the association has rendered outstanding services to the association and the purpose of the association.
