Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS)

The national agricultural research institute of China is called the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS). It is is located in Beijing. This comprehensive agricultural research institute is responsible for basic and applied research in agricultural science, as well as investigating the impact of new agricultural technologies. CAAS employs a large number of junior and senior agricultural scientists, some of which have been awarded the fellowship of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. CAAS publishes many high impact articles and educates many highly talented researchers in the field. Its graduate school offers 64 master's, 53 doctoral degrees and 11 post-doctoral level research programs. The Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning, which is led by Prof. Changbin Yin, one of our collaborators, has significant experience in agricultural waste management research. Our second collaborator, Prof. Xiande Li, is a prominent scientist in agricultural policy design and food security.
