In the week of November 17, a delegation led by Prof. Johannes Sauer visited Accra and Kumasi, Ghana, to strengthen existing partnerships and explore new avenues for collaboration. During the visit, the team gained valuable insights into the country’s most pressing agricultural challenges, from stagnating productivity to the growing impacts of climate change, and the opportunities offered by technology, AI and digital solutions.
Together with our Ghanaian partners, we aim to advance high-quality research that addresses these issues while also promoting enriching student and staff exchanges. The delegation greatly enjoyed the warm hospitality and vibrant academic discussions, and is already looking forward to future engagements with Ghanaian researchers (and to tasting more authentic Jollof rice!).
