🌽Prof. Dr. Johannes Sauer, Head of the Chair of Agricultural Production and Resource Economics at the Technical University of Munich, has taken on a new international role: He has been appointed Extraordinary Professor (Prof. h.c.) at the Department of Agricultural Economics, Faculty of AgriSciences, at Stellenbosch University in South Africa.
🫂With this position, Prof. Sauer and his team further strengthen their long-standing international collaboration in the field of agricultural and resource economics. Stellenbosch University is among the leading academic institutions on the African continent and is particularly well recognized in agricultural sciences.
🎯The appointment is expected to intensify cooperation between the two universities. The focus will be on advancing joint research projects that address the economic challenges of agricultural production in an international context – ranging from issues of resource use to sustainable production systems, and efficient policies and regulations.
