New Report: Nature-Positive Lifestyles – Unlocking Opportunities for People and Planet
We are pleased to announce the release of the new report Nature-Positive Lifestyles: Unlocking Opportunities for People and Planet (2026).
The report highlights the critical role of consumption-based biodiversity footprints in shaping effective policy responses. It examines how everyday consumption patterns contribute to biodiversity loss and what this implies for systemic transformation.
Drawing on a multi-country analysis covering Brazil, Finland, and Japan, the study identifies key lifestyle domains—such as food, mobility, housing, and consumer goods—that place significant pressure on biodiversity across global supply chains. It also integrates biodiversity and carbon footprint perspectives to reveal potential co-benefits and trade-offs between climate and nature goals.
In addition, the report compiles more than 100 policy measures from around the world, demonstrating how governments can address demand-side drivers and strengthen the implementation of the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
We are proud that Livia Cabernard, contributed her expertise to this international collaboration.
