Objectives
At the end of this seminar, students will be able to

Description
'This modul prepares students for empirical research (e.g. for their Master's Thesis). We discuss the following topics:
1. Main Concepts in Econometrics and Asymptotic Analysis
2. Estimators for cross-sectional data
3. Interpretation and limitation of estimators

Prerequisites
The prerequisite courses include Applied Econometrics/Empirical Research Methods (from SuSe2022 onwards), any introductory econometrics class, or equivalent.
Teaching and learning methods
The module consists of an introductory tutorial to review the most important econometric methods that students learned in previous courses.
Examination
Seminar paper (approximately 10 pages of text), and presentation (15min) in the seminar
